'Yoga; it's a Lifestyle'
The kids opportunities to get creative and innovative through interactive yoga games and activities.
They become involved in their learning process by using their imagination and self expression within the activities. With guidance and visuals; posture cards, they are led to create their own sequences while telling stories to move from one pose to another. The context becomes memorable by putting it into Play; students are more likely to remember a play rather than reading a script or only being told what to do. By acting out situations it engages students to take what they learn outside of the class.
Students will not only learn about Yoga, but they will know when to do it and why!
You are in a classroom and it's time for a test. How do you feel? Most students reply that they feel nervous or scared. What do you do? Breathe. Yoga Breathing techniques come into play and are taught. I then refer to a book that was previously read. what did she; a character in the story do when the world felt BIG and out of control? Yoga! She also took a deep breathe and told her racing breathe to be slow, to regain control and make the size of the world feel just right.
By changing the way you breathe, you can change the way you feel, and Kids will learn to apply this into their daily lives.
