To guide my clients towards better understanding and prioritizing their body's needs and become more effective in their actions to fulfill those needs.
Teachings and practices of yoga to guide you towards enhancing your general health and well-being. These teachings includes yoga techniques such as breath and body awareness; pranayama, meditation, asana/yoga postures, mantra, visualization, dialogue, self-myofascial release, and the importance of self care.
An active participant throughout the process of improving their health and well-being.
Their task is to bring to action the techniques taught to them in a session into their personal everyday lives.
Without practice there will be no result. Yoga is more effective over time with continuous practice.
For this reason, my role is to provide treatments for my clients with clear instructions that will be enjoyable and easy for them to insert into their lives at home.
To commit to applying the treatment practice on their own time, because repetition is important for long-term progress. I believe that it is important for the client to sustain a self-practice of yoga by applying the techniques they learn in a session into their home. Leading themselves through the practice will intimately show them that they are the source of their own 'healing' progress. They are the leaders in their in their progress of change. Guiding themselves in their home practice will enhance their lifestyle; positively impacting their self-esteem, confidence and motivation. They have the ability to feel better about themselves. As a yoga therapist I am here to guide them towards knowing their potential to be their own leader.
