Importance of Private Sessions

 

I  believe in the positive impacts yoga brings out in people. I strongly  believe that each person is uniquely different. With this into  consideration, what may be an effective yoga treatment for one will  not have the same results for another individual. Therefore my intake on  yoga therapy is to have one-on-one sessions with each person before  bringing them together as a group. As a teacher it will allow me to  adapt all yoga postures as necessary to enhance the experience of the  yoga practice for each one of my students. 



My Intention is . . .

 To guide my clients towards better understanding and prioritizing their body's needs and become more effective in their actions to fulfill those needs. 



My Yoga Therapy Sessions Provide . . .  


  Teachings and practices of yoga to guide you towards enhancing your general health and well-being. These teachings includes yoga techniques such as breath and body awareness; pranayama, meditation, asana/yoga postures, mantra, visualization, dialogue, self-myofascial release, and the importance of self care.



My Client Is . . .  


An active participant throughout the process of improving their health and well-being.
Their task is to bring to action the techniques taught to them in a session into their personal everyday lives.
Without practice there will be no result. Yoga is more effective over time with continuous practice.
For this reason, my role is to provide treatments for my clients with clear instructions that will be enjoyable and easy for them to insert into their lives at home. 



 


The Role of My Client Is . . .


To  commit to applying the treatment practice on their own time, because  repetition is important for long-term progress. I believe that it is  important for the client to sustain a self-practice of yoga by applying  the techniques they learn in a session into their home. Leading  themselves through the practice will intimately show them that they are  the source of their own 'healing' progress. They are the leaders in  their in their progress of change. Guiding themselves in their home  practice will enhance their lifestyle; positively impacting their  self-esteem, confidence and motivation. They have the ability to feel  better about themselves. As a yoga therapist  I am here to guide them  towards knowing their potential to be their own leader.
